Amazon Prime Air / Propulsion Engineering Intern

Lead the research & development of a heat pipebased cooling system for the next generation drones IPC. This included utilizing hand calcs to educate a cooling system design, modeling the system in Ansys Icepak, building a prototype, & testing the prototype system.

Designed, prototyped, & tested an ultralight weight presst foam spinner for the next generation drone.

Designed, built, & utilised an experimental setup to test the battery PDM interface after many mating cycles.

Designed & built a prototype battery charger for the DV battery.

Novelly trained the CNN-based object detection algorithm, YOLOv5, with custom datasets to be optimized for real-time spacecraft detection and tracking in close-proximity operations during planetary orbit.

Applied our original model in a custom ROS2-YOLOv5 pipeline to execute the task of space-borne angles-only navigation.

Implemented an Extended Kalman Filter which utilized coordinate points collected during real-time detection and tracking as inputs and estimated the position and velocity of an unknown target spacecraft.

Lead & assisted in a plethora of static, dynamic, & wet pre-DV tests on the LAA Exclusion System.

Independently collected pre-DV test data and conducted statistical analysis on said data utilizing Excel and Minitab.

Lead the LAA Exclusion System worst case scenario analysis and modeling so that finite element analysis could be done to determine the factor of safety in the worst case scenario.
